Shadow Snakes Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Shadow Snakes is designed to be played without creating an account. At this time, we do not collect personal information directly through the app, such as your name, email address, phone number, or precise location.

Gameplay progress or settings may be stored locally on your device so the app can function properly. Information stored only on your device and not transmitted to us is not used by us to identify you.

Game Center. Shadow Snakes integrates with Apple Game Center to provide features such as leaderboards and achievements. If you are signed in to Game Center, Apple may make available to us a Game Center player identifier and your public Game Center alias or nickname, along with the scores and achievements you earn in the app. Your participation in Game Center is optional and is managed through your device and Apple ID settings.

2. How We Use Information

We use Game Center information only to operate game features—for example, to display leaderboards, record and rank scores, and award achievements. We do not use app-collected information for advertising, profiling, or selling data.

If you contact us directly, we may use the information you choose to provide only to respond to your message, provide support, or address a request you make.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information and we do not share personal information collected through Shadow Snakes with third parties for marketing or cross-context behavioral advertising.

When you use Game Center, scores, achievements, and your public Game Center alias are processed by Apple and may be visible to other players through Game Center leaderboards and similar features. Apple's handling of this information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, which is outside our control.

If legal obligations require disclosure, we may share information as necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.

4. Third-Party Services

Shadow Snakes uses Apple Game Center to provide leaderboards, achievements, and related social gaming features. Information you provide through Game Center is collected and processed by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. You can manage or disable Game Center through your device settings and Apple ID.

If a future version of Shadow Snakes uses additional third-party services such as analytics, crash reporting, cloud save, or in-app purchases that involve data collection, we will update this Privacy Policy and our App Store privacy disclosures to reflect those practices.

5. Children's Privacy

Shadow Snakes is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe personal information from a child has been provided to us, contact us and we will review the request.

6. Data Retention

Game Center scores, achievements, and player information are retained by Apple as part of the Game Center service and are subject to Apple's retention practices. We do not maintain a separate server-side database of player personal information for Shadow Snakes beyond what is needed to operate game features. If you email us, we may retain that correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, keep records, or meet legal obligations.

7. Your Choices

You can stop all collection and use of information by uninstalling the app. If you contact us and want us to review, update, or delete information you provided directly, you may do so using the contact details below.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated version at this page and revise the “Last updated” date above.
